ARTIST STATEMENT

My Purpose

In this particular photo I wanted to explore the dynamics between light and shadow. By using specific filters I was able to highlight the contours of the face, and show the way light and shadow are in a constant 'dance' as seen by the smooth grooves and lines as well as contrast above. For me, this work represents my indecision about the future and life.
